Originally produced by Gene Hunt, “Inspired” gets two Chi-town remixes. On the A Side there is the ‘man with golden hands’, Glenn Underground, offering his trademark keys and general music skills to the past Chicago sound. On the flip, Abicah Soul presents a stripped down percussive mix with edited vocals and old school keys.

Here we have the 4th original album by Japan’s Studio Apartment, 2 years after the highly acclaimed “People to People”. Their ability to mix up genres nicely (house, jazz, soul, latin, brazilian and afro grooves…), most times in a clear dancefloor direction, is evident here. The guest artists list is, once again, really impressive (Monique Bingham, Kimara Lovelace, Blaze, Ron Carroll, among others) and certainly contributes to another winner CD from Masanori Morita and Noboru Abe.
Superlative dj and producer, Osunlade presents his new album “Elements Beyond” on the reborned Strictly Rhythm label. With Osunlade himself on piano, guitar, drums, bass and even some vocals, this new creation is, in his own words, “eclectic and non-commercial”. There are ten tracks, some of them inspired by recent travels in Turkey, which will certainly satisfy his solid fan base.

Let’s face it: this record has the same kind of beats, strings and synths from almost all Shelter reworks. Timmy Regisford and Quentin Harris seem to have a winner formula and don’t want to unleash it. Well, is that really a problem?
