Audioriver 2007: More Than Just Audio
Audioriver Festival won‘t just be showcasing the best upfront electronic music has to offer, but it will also pay homage to other forms of art. During last year’s edition, a special cinema was set up in which the works of students from the world renowned film school in Lodz were screened. Audioriver 2007 was from the very beginning meant to be bigger and better than its predecessor, which is why the festival cinema will also have a lot more on offer. And to make sure this is the case, the organizers have asked Chlodna 25, the ‘Best Venue of 2006‘ according to a leading Polish daily, to lend a helping hand.
Chlodna is one of the most culturally, politically and socially active places in Poland’s capital city. In a short period of time, it has managed to attract its share of regular frequenters thanks to the unfettered and comfortable atmosphere and the wide spectrum of nights it puts on. Poetry slams, photoblog festivals, classical music and jazz concerts, meetings with social activists, discussion panels, screenings of films and presentations of literature are just some of the types of events which are held at the venue on a regular basis.
„Chlodna 25’s presence at the festival will ensure the highest quality of all the events not associated with music. We were responsible for the musical aspect and we wanted to leave the cinema to be managed by professionals in their respected field. Fortunately, we were lucky enough to get in touch with the best, and we will be releasing the itinerary very soon“ - says Lukasz Napora, Audioriver Festival Spokesperson.
