Following a hugely successful debut Global Breakthrough returns for its second innings in February 2008 joining forces with premium beer powerhouse Miller Genuine Draft for a 5 day, full throttle ride taking in some of the coolest house DJs on the planet alongside South Africa’s awesome home grown talent with two distinct missions in mind: 1.) Expose South Africa’s clubbers to some of the most cutting edge DJs in global clubland, covering a whole spectrum of genres, 2.) Give International clubbers the opportunity to escape the cold, check out the city’s vibrant scene and party all day and night at some of the most jaw-dropping locations on the planet! Last years event saw the likes of James Zabiela, Lee Burridge, Steve Bug and Mark Knight make the trip down to South Africa to perform in exotic locations including a wine estate, an aquarium and a castle and offered attendees the opportunity to discover activities such as Shark Diving, Huey Helicopter trips down the coast and Sandboarding as well as taking in the sights and sounds of this most dramatically beautiful city and this year’s event looks set to top this!Voted Favourite Foreign City by the UK Telegraph, Cape Town is one of the places you just have to visit before you die. Snow Patrol are making a name for themselves across the globe with their versatile, high energy DJ sets featuring two of the band members; Tom Simpson (Keyboards) and Gary Lightbody (Vocals).Gary and Tom will perform an exclusive sunset DJ set on top of Signal Hill with 360 degree views of Cape Town, the Atlantic Ocean and Robben Island.
